Innopolis (Innovation City), Tatarstan, Russia, Oct. 02, 2018

Innopolis is a very new city east of Kazan, a special economic zone. It is already the home of an IT University (with classes in English), a number of IT companies in the first Technopark building, and thousands of students and researchers. Innopolis is intended to become Tatarstan's IT hub, a local "Silicon Valley".
The construction started with a groundbreaking ceremony on June 9, 2012. In 2015 the Innopolis University was officially opened. The construction of the city still continues today.
